Proud To Help the Hibs Heroes In Years to Come

At this year's AGM there was a strong sentiment in the audience that the club was cash rich after the sale of Murphy, Brown, Thomson and a few others before them and that the ERIN Trust should perhaps concentrate on trying to bring through the next generation of players for our club.

In the past, we sponsored the Happy Hibby Half Time draw which paid for a mini bus for one of the youth teams, and we were very proud to have under-19 star Kurtis Byrne attend out Player of the Year function this year.

It was decided that this year we will sponsor the under-12s and the under-15s and the Trust Committee went to the new East Mains Training Centre to present a cheque to Academy Manager Bill Hendry.

After we had presented a cheque for £10,000 we were taken on a tour of the facility and we were all left very impressed with what Hibs have built in East Lothian. It's a far cry from the days when the players had to turn up at Easter Road to jump in a minibus to try and find a municipal park that was playable in the winter, and we hope to see the results of this huge investment in years to come in the same way that we hope that the Trust investment in the two young teams will bear some fruit in the future. The date for this year's AGM has been set as Wednesday 3rd June at 7pm at the Hibs Supporters Association at Sunnyside. This is your opportunity to have your input on how the Trust funds are spent so please make every effort to attend.

Welcome to the ERIN Hibernian Supporters Trust - and a new way for supporters of Hibernian Football Club to become involved in the future of this famous old Scottish Premier League side!

The Trust has been in existence since 1999 and our aims are simple, and we believe shared by all fans of the club. We wish to do all we can in a practical way to aid Hibernian Football Club.

To do this, we need your help. We need as many supporters of our great club to get together, and invest in this Trust. As members of the Trust, you will have a say in how the total funds, we raise are invested in the club - never before have football fans in Scotland had an opportunity to make such a real difference.

Each year, your investment will be converted into shares in the football club; or invested in whatever other means the Trustees you elect may feel appropriate. All money invested in this way will go directly to the football club, to be used to promote the best interests of the football club and its loyal supporters.

We do not seek control of the club - our Constitution seeks a maximum of 25% of the total shareholding in Hibernian. We seek only a means of providing Hibs fans with more say over how the club is run, and to provide a direct means for the Hibs community at home and abroad to help Hibernian become a leading force in Scottish - and European football.
